Childhood is supposed to be happy, and if you can't remember yours with any happiness, what hope have you later, when life starts handing you fresh grief?

ReplyDeleteYou quotes are so true. Every child deserves a happy childhood full of wonderful memories, unfortunately many children are cheated out of theirs. I would like to thank you for all the comments you shared during the class. Good luck with all future classes.
Dear Deirdre,
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your quotes especially the one about everyone deserving a childhood. I find that ironic as I reflect on the insights Dr. Gopnik shared on the video webcast. She spoke of children being able to see the world with an openness that we as adults sometimes shun. It makes so much sense to treasure childhood and not rush children into adulthood as fast as we can.
Good luck to you in your next class and may you enjoy the journey.
Sally
